40/50 Mile Challenge - Louisiana (March 14, 2026)

Course Description:
Eddie D. Jones Park (Keithville, LA)

The course at Eddie D. Jones Park features a well-maintained, mostly flat trail system that winds through wooded terrain and open park areas. Runners will complete a clearly marked 3.1-mile (5K) loop, returning to the same central start/finish and fully stocked aid station each lap.

The surface is primarily dirt and grass with occasional packed gravel sections, offering a forgiving, runnable trail suitable for both first-time trail runners and experienced endurance athletes. With minimal elevation change and good footing, the course encourages steady pacing while still delivering an authentic trail-running experience.

The loop format allows runners to complete as many laps as they choose, rest or refuel between loops, and challenge themselves at their own pace—making this an ideal venue for newcomers to trail running as well as those pushing longer distances.
