How Scoring Works

The Next Loop Endurance Series uses a simple, transparent scoring model designed to reward consistency, pacing, and endurance — not just raw speed.

Each athlete’s performance is measured loop by loop.

For every loop completed:

  • Time starts when the loop begins

  • Time stops when the athlete crosses the finish line for that loop

  • Each completed loop earns an official recorded time

There are no penalties for stopping.

There are no missed cutoffs counted as failures. Every completed loop counts.

Your overall score is calculated by combining the times of each loop you successfully complete.

Why This Scoring Model Works

This format allows athletes at every level to compete meaningfully—against themselves and against others on the same journey.

New Runners

  • Run your first 5K, 10K, or beyond without pressure

  • Compare your loop times with athletes completing the same number of loops

  • Track progress without committing to a fixed distance

Distance Runners

  • Evaluate pacing strategy across multiple loops

  • Compare results against athletes running the same total distance

  • See how consistency impacts overall performance

Marathon & Ultra Athletes

  • Analyze fatigue, recovery, and pacing over longer efforts

  • Compare loop-by-loop performance with equally committed athletes

  • Use results as a training benchmark, not just a finish time

Hybrid & Tactical Athletes

(CrossFit, HYROX, Tactical Games, Military, First Responders)

  • Test recovery between repeated efforts

  • Measure consistency under workload

  • Evaluate performance across multiple loops, not one all-out effort

What the Results Tell You

This scoring system reveals more than speed. It shows:

  • Endurance under repetition

  • Recovery between efforts

  • Pacing discipline

  • Mental resilience

Two athletes may complete the same distance—but how they got there tells a very different story.

One format. One course. Meaningful results for every athlete.
