Clean the Trails Day - Lake Carl Blackwell, OK
March 29, 2026

Volunteer Trail Day – Sunday, March 29, 2026

Join us for a day of giving back at Lake Carl Blackwell by helping clear and maintain sections of trail used for The Next Loop Endurance Series and the 40/50 Mile Challenge.

This volunteer trail work day is about stewardship, community, and leaving the park better than we found it. Whether you’re a runner, hiker, outdoor enthusiast, or simply someone who loves Lake Carl Blackwell, your help will make a real impact.

What We’ll Be Doing

Volunteers will assist park staff and event organizers with:

  • Clearing light brush and debris from trails

  • Trimming back overgrowth along runnable sections

  • Improving trail visibility and safety

  • General cleanup to prepare the course for upcoming events

No prior trail work experience is required. Tasks will be assigned based on comfort level, and all work will be done at a manageable pace.

Why This Matters

Trail events depend on healthy, well-maintained trails—and that starts with the community. By volunteering, you’re helping ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for runners and visitors while directly supporting Lake Carl Blackwell.

This is about more than racing. It’s about stewardship, connection, and giving back to the places that give us so much.
