THE NEXT LOOP HOURLY CHALLENGE

One Loop. Every Hour. You Decide How Far.

The Next Loop Hourly Challenge is an hourly-start endurance event designed for runners and walkers of all experience levels.

At the top of every hour, participants begin the designated trail loop. Complete your loop, return to the start/finish area, recover, refuel and get ready for the next hourly start.

Your challenge is simple:

How many loops do you want to complete?

There is no required distance and no DNF.

Whether you complete a few loops, reach your first trail 10K, 15K, 20K, 30K, half-marathon-distance effort, marathon-distance effort, or 50K, every completed loop counts.

Choose The Next Loop if you want:

  • A new loop beginning every hour

  • Recovery time between loops

  • The freedom to decide how many loops you complete

  • A more social, approachable endurance format

  • To challenge yourself without committing to a specific distance

  • No DNF — every completed loop is an accomplishment

RESULTS: Your result is based on the number of completed loops and total distance during the event.

This is NOT a continuous race. After completing each loop, you wait for the next hourly start.

If your goal is to run the loops continuously, register for the 12  HOUR CHALLENGE

THE NEXT 12 HOUR CHALLENGE

12 Hours. Your Pace. Your Distance.

The Next 12 Hour Challenge is a continuous 12-hour trail endurance event (this replaces our 40M/50M Challenge).

Everyone starts together, and from that point forward the clock keeps running. There are no hourly restarts and no required waiting between loops. and NO DNF!

You are competing against others completing the same distance you do!

Run, walk, stop at your staging area, eat, rest or take a break whenever you choose — but the 12-hour clock continues.

Your objective is to complete as much distance as you want within the 12-hour period.

You don't have to declare a distance before you start.

Maybe your goal is 40 miles. Maybe it's 50 miles. Maybe it's your first 50K. Or maybe you simply want to find out how far you can go in 12 hours.

Choose The Next 12 Hour Challenge if you want:

  • A continuous endurance race

  • Complete control over your pace

  • No waiting for an hourly restart

  • The ability to run continuously or take breaks whenever you choose

  • To pursue a personal distance goal

  • To see how far you can go in 12 hours

RESULTS: Your official result is the total number of completed loops and total distance completed within the 12-hour event.

Our goal at The Next Loop Endurance Series and EverFurther is to create events that are easy to navigate where you are able to attempt a distance that may be a bit further than you have gone before.

Maybe it's your first trail run, you first marathon distance, your first ultra at 50K or more. with no fear of a DNF!

We believe any distance, or any time on the trail is worthy of celebrating and recognition.

We report all distances. For a distance to count in certain record books there must be at least 14 participants in the event. By reporting all distances together, in one event, everyone is able to record their accomplishment.

Your result will be listed with all others in your event. Results are listed by distance completed. You will see you results ranked in order with those who completed the same distance you did.
