Course Description:

Pinnacle Mountain State Park (Arkansas)

The course at Pinnacle Mountain State Park utilizes sections of the scenic Kingfisher Trail, offering runners a classic Arkansas trail-running experience through forested terrain with gently rolling elevation. Participants will complete a clearly marked 3.1-mile (5K) loop, returning each lap to a central start/finish area and fully stocked aid station.

The trail surface is primarily dirt with some natural roots and uneven sections, providing a true trail feel without being overly technical. While elevation changes are moderate, the course remains very runnable and rewards consistent pacing and smart effort management over multiple loops.

This loop-based format allows runners to challenge themselves at their own pace—whether completing a single loop or building toward longer distances—while enjoying one of Arkansas’s most popular and well-maintained trail systems.

The combination of natural beauty, repeatable loops, and centralized support makes this course ideal for both newer trail runners and experienced endurance athletes.

Progression, Not Elimination

What makes The Next Loop Different?

Traditional endurance events force athletes to commit to a distance before the race begins.

The Next Loop Endurance Series is different.Athletes start together, complete one 5K loop at a time, and choose whether to continue.Every completed loop counts. When you decide you’re done, your effort is honored — no missed cutoffs, no failure.

This format encourages athletes to return again and again, building endurance through experience, not pressure.
