The Next Loop 50M Team Relays
presented by The Next Loop Endurance Series
Six Venues to Challenge Your Team
You decide who runs when and how many loops each teammate completes.
THE NEXT 50M 2-PERSON RELAY
Two teammates work together to complete 50 miles. Divide the loops evenly or create a strategy based on each runner's strengths.
THE NEXT 50M 4-PERSON RELAY
Four teammates share the 50-mile challenge. Each runner contributes full loops as the team works together toward the 50-mile finish.
The Relay is a way to experience The Next Loop, the trail, the race atmosphere, and the challenge of reaching 50 miles with teammates beside you.
You don't have to be an ultrarunner to be part of an ultra-distance finish.
YOUR TEAM. TOGETHER FURTHER. ONE MORE LOOP.
THE NEXT LOOP ENDURANCE SERIES
The Next Loop Endurance Series is built around a simple idea: one course, multiple ways to challenge yourself.
Our events are normally held on an approximately 5K / 3.1-mile loop, with all challenges sharing the same course and race environment. Depending on the venue, courses may vary in distance, terrain, elevation, and difficulty.
Runners return to the central race area after every loop, creating a great environment for teammates, crews, family, and other runners.
The 50 Mile Team Relay brings that same loop format to teams of 2 or 4 runners.
HOW THE RELAY WORKS
Choose either the 2-Person or 4-Person 50 Mile Team Relay.
Each team works together to complete the full 50-mile distance on the same approximately 5K loop used by the other Next Loop events.
-
One teammate is on the course at a time.
-
Each runner completes a full loop before returning to the designated relay area, where the next teammate can begin.
-
Your team controls the strategy. Alternate every loop, run multiple consecutive loops, divide the distance evenly, or have some teammates complete more loops than others.
-
There is no required number of loops for each individual teammate. The goal is for the team to complete the 50-mile distance within the event cutoff.
-
Every loop is timed and credited toward your team's total distance.
2-Person teams compete against other 2-Person teams.
4-Person teams compete against other 4-Person teams.
Same course. Same race day. 50 miles as a team.
YOUR TEAM. TOGETHER FURTHER. ONE MORE LOOP.
